• When this device is likely being used for an extended period of time
the control unit must be set to level 1.
• This device is not intended for medical to be used for medical purpo-
ses in hospitals.
• This appliance must not be used by young children over the age of
3 years unless they have been given sucient instruction on how to
operate the controls safely.
• This device can be used by young children over the age of 3 years
and younger than 8 years under supervision if the control unit is set
to the lowest temperature level.
• The device must only be used for its intended purpose as described in the instruction
manual. Using the appliance for any other purpose invalidates the warranty.
• The device is not to be used for commercial use or medical purposes.
Safety Instructions – About the power supply
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply volt-
age stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
• The control switch should not be covered or placed on or below the pad while the unit
is in operation.
• Keep the mains lead away from hot surfaces.
• Never carry, pull or turn the heating pad by the mains lead and do not let the lead get
tangled.
• Never touch a device that has fallen into water. Unplug the unit from the mains outlet
immediately.
• The controls and leads must not be exposed to any kind of moisture.
• The heating pad may only be operated with the control unit (SS43A) supplied.
Safety Instructions – Specic groups of people
• This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnera-
ble persons who are unable to react to overheating.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Children below the age of 3 years are not allowed to use this device, because they are
not able to react on overheating.
• Should you have any concerns about health issues, consult your doctor before using

Safety Instructions – Operating the device
• Carefully check the heating pad before each use, if you notice wear or damage.

Using the device
Make sure, the connection cable of the control unit is properly connected to the plug of the

Troubleshooting
If there is no function at all after switching on the heating pad (no heating level is displayed
at 1), please check if the mains plug is correctly plugged in the mains outlet. If this is the
case, the heating pad is defect. Then please do not use the heating pad and contact the
service center.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Before cleaning the pad, unplug it from the mains outlet and let it cool down for at least
ten minutes.
• The heating pad is equipped with a removable control unit (SS43A). Unplug the con-
trol unit from the heating pad by pulling out the connection cable from the plug on the
heating pad.
• You may wash the heating pad gently by washing machine.
• However, the best way is to put the heating pad in a bath with lukewarm water and some
mild detergent and then gently squeeze it out. Rinse the heating pad several times to
remove all the detergent.
• Never use strong detergents or hard brushes.

• Only use the blanket again once it is completely dry.
• Reconnect the control unit to the heating pad in the correct manner.
